The number of Hindi/Sanskrit origin words this time around at the National Spelling Bee surprised me. I’m sure it didn’t have anything to do with the number of desi origin participants.
Mishra was a natural on screen, taking on the “numbnut” response with class. So was Sidharth with his desi twist at pronouncing ziarat. Video link anyone?
